Who’s involved

Everyone who is involved in the provision of care in Scotland will at some time be involved in SBC – be that NHS professionals and support staff, social work professionals, independent practitioners such as GPs and pharmacists, care providers in the third sector, private organisations and their staff – such as care homes, those involved with housing, community planners, and most importantly service users, their families and carers. This might be in a strategic way – deciding the strategic direction or setting a policy, a local way – agreeing care pathways for a particular service, or on an individual basis – choosing how and where your own care is received.

The key to success will be Community Health Partnerships and partnership working between organisations which have person centred care as their overarching objective. The national approach to SBC is being led by the SBC Delivery Group.
